At some unknowable point last week, my brain gave out and I dived into Zombie mode. 3 reports, x number of papers. Top that off with physical exhaustion, other-people-problems and a week's lack of decent sleep. Formula Zombie was mine to drink.
Between, before and after all of that though, I somehow ended up at Viking's pseudo taking pictures for an old person's birthday. Lolo Jess, my cousin's grandfather, who's wife was generous enough to treat 100 people to Viking's for lunch on a weekend. Go do math. Food was great. I was craving.
(my)Lola (not the wife of the celebrant), was there too. Extended family concepts can be exhausting.
This one practically screamed: "photograph me!"
I started with the dimsum, which I've been craving for weeks prior.
Can I just say, I couldn't stop eating the asian food? And oh, dear God, they had Peking duck roll thingies. I had more than that picture shows.
Note: those aren't desserts. They're stuff I ate between courses to make sure I was still hungry and in the mood to eat.
The Place was pretty with an interestingly pretty big number of courses available.
I went back to Christ the King after that for the rest of the PREX-Y weekend. Everyone was the usual delightful bunch they were. I was just full.
A few days after that, sometime during zombie week, was ninang's birthday. We had lechon and pancit at their super awesome home in WP. Check my new year's post.
Sometime when zombie week was ending, I went with Desti and our 140 classmates around ortigas looking for ArtDeco, International, Constructivist, etc, buildings. We ended up mostly, arguing and just about photographing left and right blindly. Jokes, all around.
We settled in Megamall after where we discovered that half the shit we were looking for, was readily available to photograph at the top parking area. :| MEH.
Detsi, Andre and I ended up in French Baker having lemonade, iced tea and a bunch of other things after we scoured the galleries at the 4th floor. It was promising. I bought a trigger for my flash and a shoot-through umbrella the day after this. Detsi and I did a photobooth too, but I was exhausted and didn't take pictures. HAHAHAHAH.
Regular programming hopefully resumes soon.
