Family can be work too. I'm pretty fucking sure. Been eating practically the whole of this week. Not healthy, really, but really good. Just last Tuesday we headed over to Macapagal ave to eat at this Chinese Paluto place named Hong Kong Master cook. It was great.
Interesting thing about the place is that it's beside a fresh market (also known as a Dampa). You pick your stuff, you bring it in, they'll cook it for a price. There were 22 of us, but I think the bill ran at about 500 per head. Not bad for a 10-course-ish meal. :)
Look Lobster!! :D
Of course, a market would kind of be incomplete without the pirate DVDs proliferating themselves left and right.
And since it's the new year, They've also got firecrackers!
Not sure if I photographed everything, but I'm sure I tasted everything except for the tahong (some kind of sea shell thingy, I'm not sure what it is in english? Clams? Oysters? Shell-thingies?).
Wednesday, I was with Jay and Pat doing a photobooth for some Rich Kid. It happened at the Columns in Makati. RK, was dressed in a pitstop uniform thingy which matched mommy's red pitstop uniform thingy too. He's rich. Did I mention that? About 50 guests, but food looked like it was for the 100s and there was an adult buffet and a Kid's buffet, plus ice cream, fishballs (I think), and fries.
Bottom line, after 3 hours of photoboothing, and the other 3 hours spent preparing, we were dead. This is how the dead look:
Of course, our best friend kept us company. And suddenly, we all looked relatively okay-ish again. :))
We headed out for starbucks to unwind and print photos.
Somewhere along the way home, we decided to stay a while longer. We went to the park in our village. There was a gay guy hosting a Christmas Party, we danced along, and played in the playground like we were high.
Never really noticed this new feature of the park: there's some gym equipment there. :))
Before I forget, while at Starbucks, we pulled out the film from the empty cassettes and found this tring of awesome CMY(O). :))
Of course we played with it, what else.
The following day, the family headed over to Lola's at White Plains for the nth Party to be had there. 18KG of steak from Australia was on the menu, and no one wanted to miss it.
I'm also finally thankful that the weather decided to cooperate. For the first time, the roof deck which was built to host parties was now usable. HAHAHAH. The grill was on, and the salad and whatever else was served.
